2 Injured In Home Invasion Robbery On Jersey Shore

Two people were injured in a home invasion robbery in Freehold Township, authorities said.

On Monday, Dec. 11 at about 2:45 a.m., Freehold Township police responded to Sargent Road, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

One resident was treated at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later released, the prosecutor said.

The investigation is active and ongoing at this time between members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Bureau and the Freehold Township Police Department. 

The prosecutor stressed that this was likely a targeted incident and that there should be no concern by the public or local residents for their safety.
